If you like cruising and have a flexible schedule, Margaritaville at Sea’s All You Can Cruise Pass could be worth a look. The membership offers nearly unlimited sailings through December 2027 on the Paradise, Islander, and new Beachcomber. It covers two people in a cabin up to a Breezy Balcony, so you can bring someone with you each time you sail. There are some rules to understand before signing up, though. Here’s a breakdown of how it works, what’s included, and what to know before booking.
How Often You Can Sail & Booking Rules
- Frequency: You can sail as often as you want through December 31, 2027.
- One Booking at a Time: You can only hold one active reservation at any given time. You cannot book another cruise until your current pending sailing has concluded.
- No Back-to-Back Cruises: Consecutive sailings are not permitted (your next cruise cannot depart the same day or the day after you return from a prior trip).
- Booking Window: Sailings can only be booked between 30 days and 24 hours prior to departure by phone (call center only, not online).
- Subject to Allocation: Pass ownership does not guarantee a room. Margaritaville at Sea reserves the right to cap the number of member cabins per sailing even if general cabins are still for sale.
What It Covers
- Staterooms: Valid for one double-occupancy cabin (categories up to and including Breezy Balcony across the Paradise, Islander, and Beachcomber). Suites are excluded.
- Trip Length: Round-trip itineraries up to 7 nights.
- Base Fare for 2 Guests: The pass covers the core cruise fare for the member and one companion. The second guest can be swapped between trips.
What It Does NOT Cover (Out-of-Pocket Costs)
For every sailing, you must still pay:
- Taxes, port fees, and required cruise expenses per person.
- Daily gratuities per guest per night.
- Fuel supplements (if enacted).
- Port parking, excursions, Wi-Fi, specialty dining, drinks, and onboard purchases.
- Solo Travelers: If traveling alone without a second person, you must pay a single-supplement fee ($159 for 2–3 night trips, $259 for 4–7 night trips).
- 3rd & 4th Guests: Unless you purchase an upgraded membership tier covering extra guests upfront, adding a 3rd or 4th person requires paying their prevailing cruise rate plus standard fees.
Other Important “Gotchas”
- Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable: The pass itself cannot be transferred, extended, or refunded under any circumstance, and the pass holder must sail on every booked trip.
- Strict Cancellation & No-Show Penalties: You must cancel at least 7 days prior to sailing. Canceling within 7 days or failing to show at the terminal constitutes a no-show, which can result in the immediate forfeiture of your entire membership with no refund.
- Blackout Dates: Prime holiday weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day weekends) are blacked out, and additional blackout dates can be added based on ship capacity.
- No Travel Agent Commissions: Membership purchases and all cruises booked under the pass are strictly non-commissionable.
The pass could be a good fit if you can travel on short notice and work with the booking restrictions. It might even pair nicely with the Frontier Go Wild Pass!
